NEIL AIRD

FRAMEWORKS GALLERY ARTIST

Neil has been a resident of Kingston since 1968, he arrived then from his native Scotland as a new graduate from the Glasgow School of Art. His career was mainly as a self employed designer-goldsmith for 40 years, the last 33 operating Metalworks-Contemporary Goldsmithing with his wife Danielle. Painting was never on the horizon until a solo show in 1987. His detailed work is time consuming and that aspect gives great pleasure, to him and hopefully the viewer. Main interests are aviation oriented, with much too much time being spent on research and his website DHC-2.COM - maybe the current non-aviation painting on the easel at present will get completed before the snow arrives.
